The Old Snowbasin Road to get you to the parking lot has signs indicating that snow tires or chains are required November 1st to March 31st, so you will have a limited time this year. This parking lot is the closest to the posted coordinates.
Within sight of the road you will see a United States Forest Service kiosk giving information about trails in this area. You CAN go ThERe, buT I wILL tElL You tHaT YoU WIll fINd NO hELPS THeRE. However, under the nearby tree you will find a bench to sit on and complete a crossword puzzle. I have had reports that the bench and/or kiosk have been removed, but you still have enough information to find this cache.
This letterbox will take a little bit of puzzling. I will have you running top to bottom, and left to right looking for how to find this letterbox. While you are thinking about how to find it, I have provided a crossword puzzle for your amusement. This is only my second crossword puzzle that I have published for other people to solve, so I have used some creativity in some places.
Alert: You are about to download a file that contains details needed to find this geocache. As the geocache owner, I ensure that this file is safe to download. It has not been checked by Geocaching HQ or by the reviewer. Download this file at your own risk. Here is a crossword puzzle for you to play with.
In the tradition of letterboxing, you should bring your own ink pad. Black ink is recommended, but green and brown is also a good combination.
Congratulations to Dix1 and Del2u for being First to Find.
