In the early 1930s this area was an established nursery, and you will see many remnants as you walk through. This area is stunning, in both spring and autumn especially, when the leaves are growing or changing colour.
I first learned of the secret garden when I was small and my parents brought me for a walk in autumn. I never forgot it, but had no idea where to find it again. A year back my partner was working at one of the properties at the top of the hill, and I rediscovered it. Its a perfect area to place my first cache, and at 870 finds I am well overdue.
There are two ways in to this garden, both fairly easy. Please keep in mind that tree coverage may interfere with GPS reception, watch out for snakes in summer, and leeches and slippery mud in winter. Byo Pen.
