Geocache Description:

Sunset Park is an urban jewel located on the Fox River in Kimberly. The land was donated to the village over 100 years ago by Kimberly-Clark. The park has woods, a pond, trails, river frontage and boat and kayak launches as well as a sand beach swimming pool and several soccer fields and softball and baseball diamonds.

Several memorial plaques/stones are placed in the open area just north of the overlook platform where this cache starts.

Kimberly’s annual Fireman’s Fourth of July Fireworks, Paperfest celebrations and summer amphitheater performances bring thousands of people to the park each year.

In order to find the cache, you need to simply follow the trail outlined below.

  1.   Enjoy the great view and then seek shelter.
  2.   Walk to the huge flowers that you cannot step on.
  3.   Circle and find a way to step down. Halfway down, spot the sunset on your right.
  4.   Enjoy the sunset on your left as you walk past it.
  5.   Don’t be another brick in the wall as you follow it right.
  6.   Some people walk on water; you need to walk on wood.
  7.   Follow the steps up. It's Ok to rail at us a bit for the moderate climb.
  8.   At the silver square, turn left and you are smoothly on the right path
  9.   Walk past one brown man-made convenience until you find a Wolf by another.
  10.   Escape by continuing in the same direction until you find a Busch.
  11.   Enter the opening and seek out the first big shagbark hickory which will shadow the container.
