Lappajärvi syntyi noin 78 miljoonaa vuotta sitten meteoriitin törmätessä maapalloon. Maapallo on jatkuvan muutosprosessin alainen. Lake Lappajärvi was created about 78 million years ago when a meteorite struck the Earth. The Earth is undergoing a process of constant transformation.
