The change to Daylight Savings Time (DST) in the fall is the unofficial beginning of what I like to call “Elbus Season”.
Elbus’s hides were notable for taking you to and through stuff that left you beat, wet, and bloody… but proud of yourself for having done it. In "Elbus Season" the brush dies down, the mosquitoes are gone, the water table gets lower, and the ticks are hibernating, making his delicious hides slightly more endurable to hunt.
So yeah, this is a tribute to one of my all-time favorite hiders.
If you park at the Pipers lot, there are a couple of water crossings. You will need sharp eyes and a monkey/ingenuity/ TOTT to get the cache and return it properly. Unlike most geocaching experiences, I did not find the easier way out.
