We’ve all had Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) encounters.
And it’s totally cool! They’re great people, just checking in on us while we’re doing something weird in a spot or time of day where regular people aren’t, you know, doing what we do.
True story: One time in Buffalo Grove we had some cops slow down their patrol car and eye us from the street as we were searching a fence line along a creek. I pulled out my GPSR, kinda waggled it at them from across the lot, and they drove away. They knew!
If you have an LEO encounter, don’t try to hide what you are doing like you might do with a muggle. Proudly introduce yourself, show them the cache (if you can find it) or show them the app if they don’t already know about it. Every LEO I’ve encountered was great about it.
This one is a tribute to all LEO’s! I hope that they’d be amused by the cache.
