In view of the demise of several parts of the Sunninghistory trail I am archiving all but the remaining physical caches. Sunninghistory 2, 3, 4, and 8 (The true co-ords are to be published on the cache page) and the challenge still remain.
The others may return next year in a different form (then again they may not)!

The cache is a normal sized Tupperware box..
Far too few people are aware of these gates, (or the newer ones you may have glimpsed a few minutes ago.)
Look to the west towards the distant grandstand. Your are looking along the very old mile course, the original part of the racecourse. Sadly horses do not race here now, it is usually used for staff parking during the Royal Meeting and other Ascot occasions.
Left of the gates there is a public footpath, your next clue is 0.2 miles up here……………..
To get to the next location you need to return to your car.
Continue along the road until you see, on your left just beyond the last residence on the left, a public footpath across a field (N51* 24.657 W0* 39.486). Follow this down the hill, across the stream and up the hill back to your car. (And look out for the deer.)
