This series is placed on the trail leading to the Humes River Falls. Take Highway 105 to Wagmatcook, turn onto the Humes Rear Road in the Wagmatcook First Nation. Parking is available near the baseball field and Wagmatcookewey School. The return hike is about 14k.
The first 3km of the trail is the continuation of the Humes Rear Road as it becomes narrower and ultimately an ATV/snowmobile trail.
After crossing the first bridge, you will have to cross a brook, boots required, then uphill to a Y intersection. Go to the right. From now on and until the wooded trailhead, the road goes steadily uphill. There are lots of markers in the trees on the left side of the road, the trail begins here. The flagged route will go down one small valley (First Branch Humes River), go back up the hill and finally make it to the falls on the second branch.
Finally you will arrive at the top of the ravine and hear the river, the slope is moderate to get to the base of the falls.
