Akron Falls Park contains lots of things to see and do in its approximately 284 acres. There is, of course, the lower falls: a 40-foot tall waterfall on Murder Creek. The falls can be impressive in the spring and after heavy rains, but can be virtually dry during the summer months.
For sports enthusiasts during the warm months, facilities are available for tennis, softball, soccer, baseball, and basketball. With the snow comes the opportunity to go cross country skiing, sledding, and ice skating.
There are several geocaches in the park that are available year-round (depending on your tolerance for snow, that is).
You will be looking for a micro container hidden in a quiet place in Akron Falls Park.
This cache was originally going to be called "A Quiet Place," but when I got out of the car to shoot the coordinates, the sky opened up and I was pummeled by rain. I think I may have seen the Andrea Gail go sailing by down Murder Creek.
