Wild, Wild, (Valley) West Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Uncle Alaska: I have decided that this cache needs to be pulled, thanks to Elifish who was in the Arcata area this weekend and was able to remove the yucky remains...this was my first cache, but it is time for a local to have rights to the area.

Thanks to the NC Flyers for their part in keeping this one alive for so long...they are truly the geocache icons of the northwest coast. It's snowing today in Anchorage...I bet it is raining down there

Cheers

Geocache Description:

If you are driving North or South on Hwy 101, this cache can provide a reason to get out and stretch your legs. This is a pretty easy cache because it is the first one I have hidden. The cache area is not visited too much, but there are some busy areas nearby. Good Luck

The container is a round tupperware type approx 7" in diameter and about 2-3" deep original Contents:

-Pair of AA batteries
-2001 New York Quarter
-Wooden handled screwdriver
-Metal thimble
-Crazy blue eye
-Small wooden house

UPDATE 12/7/2002 I changed out the old container for a slightly larger one (changed picture as well)...otherwise, cache is the same.

UPDATE PART TWO 6/9/2003 A big thank you to the NC Flyers as they have upgraded the container to fit the loot. At this rate, in another year this cache will be a 18 cubic foot freezer...hopefully cachers will start taking as much as they put in :) Have fun.
