Geocache Description:

Residents in Provo have lower power costs than those in nearbycities. In January 1940 Provo City built the power plant and began providing power to Provo Residents. Mayor John B Booth and later Mayor Mark Anderson were instrumental in this huge undertaking. Today Provo Power operates out of modern facilities. Near the new building is a historic ladder International truck which still has Ex. Utah license plates along with a wooden extension ladder. Stop here for a picnic, or a walk in the park toward the Provo Recreation Center.
