Athenree Wetlands . A wetland area being developed by DOC.
Was farmland but now changed back to an area for the birds with two large ponds
being planted by locals over the last few years with a lot more work to go.
A quite area for a walk but NO Dogs allowed
Parts can be wet and muddy after heavy rain
