La Villa del Carretta, chiamata anche Villa Belvedere, è situata nella località Belvedere, a poca distanza dal borgo di Crespina. Fu fatta costruire dopo il 1580 da Ascanio di Lodovico Vitali del Carretta, e subì importanti restauri nel Settecento, con l'aggiunta del parco all'inglese, delle terme e della Kaffeehaus. Il complesso comprende anche la canonica e l'oratorio, dedicato a Santa Maria e San Ranieri, progettato da Mattia Tarocchi e restaurato nell'aprile 2019. All'interno della villa sono presenti dipinti di Giovanni Battista Tempesti.
La cache è un contenitore micro nascosto a poca distanza dalla villa, lungo la strada che porta all'ingresso principale. Contiene solo il logbook, portatevi da scrivere. Buona ricerca!
The Villa del Carretta, also called Villa Belvedere, is located in Belvedere, not far from the village of Crespina. It was built after 1580 by Ascanio di Lodovico Vitali del Carretta, and underwent major restoration in the eighteenth century, with the addition of the English-style park, the baths and the Kaffeehaus. The complex also includes the rectory and the oratory, dedicated to Saint Mary and Saint Ranieri, designed by Mattia Tarocchi and restored in April 2019. Inside the villa there are paintings by Giovanni Battista Tempesti.
The cache is a micro container hidden a short distance from the villa, along the road that leads to the main entrance. It contains only the logbook, bring something to write. Happy geocaching!
