There's no way to drive between Taojin Road and Huaqiao Xincun, but there are three public access stairway connections. The most intensively used stairs, which also accommodate e-bikes, are to the north. This middle one has a regular but moderate stream of people, except for 7:30-8:00AM on schooldays when there is a huge upward flow of mostly maroon-garbed Huaqiao school students going to Huaqiao and the technical high school. (The school flows in the afternoon are more dispersed.) Many more Huaqiao-Taojin connectors are being installed in the form of elevators retrofitted to the buildings lining the wall here, but these are accessible only to the building residents. The stairs wind around, occupying a small footprint and providing interesting views down into Taojin.
