Waiheke is often described as a paradise as well as being called the jewel of the Hauraki Gulf. Waiheke Library has hidden a small box geocache that contains:
- a logbook with a question to answer – ‘What’s your paradise island book?’
- a children’s ‘travelling book’ to swap
- a fact sheet with a few interesting facts about Waiheke
- and a swapable swag treasure – a ‘jewel’ for a ‘jewel’.
It is hidden down in Blackpool. It’s not on the beach, it’s not in a park, it’s not a dessert, but it is in a basin 😊.
