Come visit these memorials to the town’s railway era, built by retired blacksmith Colin Campbell.
Peterborough has had a history built around the railways for well over a century, during the 1950’s it had over 100 steam trains running through the town per day, but those days have long gone.
This model train was put into place in March 1999, the train is the second of four memorials built for the town. Taking 9 months to build at a cost of $3500.
The train is based on the Kings Lynn “Royal” Engine GER “Claude Hamilton” stationed in England in 1946.
