Geocache Description:

Air Marshal William Avery Bishop, VC, CB, DSO & Bar, MC, DFC, ED, was officially credited with 72 victories, making him the top Canadian and British Empire flying ace of the First World War.

Billy Bishop was born and raised in Owen Sound, just a few doors down from where I grew up. In fact, when I was a teenager, I used to mow the lawn at his family's home. The house has now been made into a fabulous museum, and Billy Bishop is buried in the Owen Sound cemetery.

This variation of an LPC was originally hidden to celebrate the Hibou Picnic Event GC4HFPT
with the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority, Inn On The Bay,
and the Mid-Western Ontario Geocachers

When the parking lot was rewired, the first cache Bishop's West GC4N21Q had to be archived, so this new hide is much better suited to the area.
