This lunch event is a meet and greet and is open to anyone who wants to attend. You are welcome to join us this event even if you don't plan to participate in the activities later in the day, and no purchase is necessary.
The idea for this event started when I found the next to the last cache that I needed to complete the Best of Centex 2008 Challenge Cache a few weeks ago. When I mentioned to several people that the final cache that I needed to complete the challenge was the Hamilton's Plunge Pool Earthcache, several said that they would like to go along. So I decided to make an event out of it.
I visited the Hamilton's Pool website, and found that entry is by reservation only, with a price of $26 per vehicle, with up to 8 people allowed per vehicle reservation. After polling the people who had expressed interest, we decided that the afternoon of Sunday, November 24 worked for the most people. So far, we have made 2 reservations for the 2PM-6PM timeslot, with 2 vehicles that can hold up to 12 people. If more than that end up wanting to go, someone will need to make an additional reservation at the Hamilton's Pool website.
People who would like to participate are welcome to join us on the afternoon visit to Hamilton's Pool, but it is not required. If you do plan to go to Hamilton's Pool after this lunch event, please note that in a "Will Attend" log, so that we can have a count of people who would like to participate in the later activity. For those who choose to visit Hamilton's Pool as part of our group, we will split the entry fees evenly among us, so plan to bring around $4 to $5 to cover that expense.
