Si puo' dire che l'altura dove ora si trova la villa detta "San Salut" presso la strada che porta a S.Gillio, assistette e fu testimone della nascita di Druento
Posta tra l'antica e fiorente Rubianetta e il soleggiato poggio che verra' scelto per la fondazione del nuovo borgo, essa ne vide le origini e le primitive vicende.
Su quella collina, era costruita una chiesa dedicata a S.Solutore che dipendeva dai monaci Benedettini dell'Abbadia di S. Giacomo di Stura.
Tale chiesa,citata come "Ecclesia S.Salutoris de Buazano" ed il territorio circostante, compreso tra Rubianetta e l'attuale Druento, chiamato Buazano, risulta da documentazione presente presso l'archivio della Curia Arcivescovile di Torino.
Il 19 Marzo 1196 Enrico, visconte di Baratonia dona al monastero di S.Giacomo di Stura "buscum de castaneis quem habebat in buazano a summitate ripe pendente ures ceruonda cum toto prato... quod est sub duruento... "
La chiesa e' ora scomparsa ed anche il nome Buazano si perse ben presto senza lasciare traccia col trascorrere del tempo ed e' ora completamente sconosciuto.
Ai suoi piedi il 25 Luglio del 2015 e' stata inaugurata la "Rotonda del Cervo" Cervo che sta li' a ricordare che di fatto essa oggi costituisce in pratica la porta di accesso al Parco La Mandria.
