The winding alleyway from Yongfu Lu in the west emerges here into Xianlie Lu, alongside the Inner Ring Road. It's an in-between place, existing only in the gaps between other places and the Inner Ring Road. The Inner Ring Road in this location is coming down to ground level so that it can pass the zoo at a depressed level, reducing the negative impacts of the road on the animals. (It was perfectly acceptable to the World Bank for it to be elevated elsewhere, as then only people would be impacted. Where some zoo animals would be impacted, they drew the line.)
Few people use this link other than the residents of Yongfu Xiaoqu, but still there is a regular flow of pedestrians and e-bikes. Some training institutes nearby also generate pedestrian flows, but mostly it's a quiet backwater except for the traffic noise.
January 2024 update: noise barriers were installed a couple of years after the very strong magnetic cache was placed. The original container is almost certainly still there, but entombed in the noise barrier casing. The cache is located at the end of the spoiler photo near the bushes and the now defunct Ofo bike sharing bikes. As for the area around the cache, it has hardly changed. There are a couple more shops, a lot more ebikes, but otherwise things remain much the same.
