Take a break from the Hustle and Bustle of preparing for Christmas and come to BBH#142 up at Ashridge for a breath of Fresh Air; some Caching Chat/Activity & maybe the excuse to wear an outrageous Christmas jumper… Do wrap up well as this is an outdoor event!
When: Saturday 14th December 2019 from 14:30 to 16:30ish
Where: Ashridge Estate - In the Big Field near the Bridgewater Monument, where the WINTER GEOLYMPIX: ASHRIDGE 2018 (GC75FTF) was held
Why: Because we like to have a monthly meet and this is a popular venue with lots of nearby caches.
Who: Cachers from Bucks, Beds, Herts and beyond – everyone is welcome. Are you new to caching or cache events? You will be made especially welcome.
What: This is the 142nd of an ongoing series of monthly events at various locations, handy for natives of the three counties to talk caching, plan expeditions, swap TBs/Geocoins…... With Christmas rapidly approaching it can be difficult to find the time to attend an evening meeting during the week, so we thought that it would be a nice idea to revive the Berries, Baubles & Holly event that we held in 2017 and host a short event at the weekend (later on in the day, so that you can do your xmas shopping too) in a popular location with a lot of nearby caches and plenty of space for geo-kids to burn off some excess energy…. We hope you can make it.
We will provide Tea, Coffee and Hot Blackcurrant (so please bring along a Mug - that’s a Mug, not a muggle!) That being said, Muggle partners are welcome accompanied by a responsible cacher.
As this is a BBH event, please feel free to bring along Cake, Mince Pies or festive nibbles.
Please note the Flashlight (or better yet - Headtorch) Required attribute.
Many of you will be familiar with the area and will know that there is good parking close by and that there are toilet facilities at the nearby visitor centre and cafe - though with Winter Closing hours, (at the time of publication) I don't know if they will still be open by the end of the event.
If you are attending with young cachers, please can you message either Alibags or myself with their name and age, in case we can contact Santa before the event – no promises, this is his busy time of the year after all.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year full of Caching Fun
