Reeds were planted along the canal bank which have started to block the flow of water and so need to be removed. Hedges are also blocking the tow path and so these need cutting back to help clear the way and make the site more attractive and easier for walkers to use.
Please meet at the posted coordinates, parking as close to the school as you can, for a Health and Safety briefing before we head off for some clearing. You should wear old clothes and wellies/wader to help clear the canal where possible. All tools, equipment and training with be provided by the Buckingham Canal Society.
Bring a packed lunch to enjoy halfway through. If you need to leave earlier, that will not be a problem.
