Quart-size jar hide on the old Givan Ranch property. On the way to check the location and re-affirm the cords before listing this cache, I watched 3 blacktail deer move off thru the brush away from the trail. On a visit in August 2021, very near the cache a doe stood perfectly still (the dog never knew she was there) and watched us walk from the cache north for a long way. I don't always see deer when walking out here, but it's common. There is a LOT of ground out here suitable for riding a horse or just hiking north or south along the Rogue River on its east bank. I've been told the property was traded to Jackson County, which intends someday to make it into an official park. Even now, it's a wonderful place to get out and walk.
