This cache has been placed in memory of Bailey, the Geodog, part of the LaDeBA cachers. He was our black and white Classic Border Collie, who very sadly left us at the age of 15 years in August of this year.
Bailey was a very happy puppy and we enjoyed him very much. To us he was the gentleman of our two guys, very easily trained, very smart (often out-smarting his owners), always wanting to please, and enjoyed endless hours of exploring, walking and running, playing frisbee / fetch, carrying a stick, loved the snow, etc. Bailey always looked out for Auzee like a big brother and tried to guide him. We learned Bailey was able to re-cycle, fetch shoes and other items, play bump it, horse whisper, very good at agility, herd grand kids, and many, many other things. Surprisingly dogs can cache too 
, both Bailey and Auzee were able to find caches when we were searching. Sometimes we didn't quite know where they found them, which made for some interesting cache placements.
Bailey was our miracle dog (as the vets called him) as he survived a blastomycosis fungal infection in his lungs at around 6 years. Many dogs do not survive or can be permanently impaired by this disease. As he got old he lost hearing and vision, became increasingly confused, near the end he lost his leg strength and balance. It was hard to see him go but he is now in his better place.
Bailey you will alway be remembered. Hope you are in your happy place and hoping we can meet again.
