This is the 2nd in a 4-part geocache series. More Than Meets The Eye-land will take you to various points around Goose Island State Park while you learn about its lesser known histories.
This cache takes you on trail that is usually accessible, unless it has rained hard, with a hard-packed dirt trail with some uneven surfaces. Close-toed walking shoes are recommended as there are sticker-burrs. There is a physical, regular-sized container with a TPWD logo. Each container has an informational card about an historical feature.
Park is open to Daily Guests from 7am-10pm. There is a $5/person entrance fee. Twelve years old and younger are free. (There is the annual Texas State Parks Pass for $70/year, everyone in the SAME vehicle as the passholder get in free. There are additional Discount cards for certain senior citizens, disabled veterans, and those receiving Social Security for a medical disability. These passes are valid at ALL Texas State Parks!
