Tucked away out of sight at the back of the beach, this basilica was excavated in the late 1990's and is a striking piece of 5th Century architecture. It's worth the stroll down here from the beach road to see the structure and although the entrance gates are locked, you can ask at the archaelogical centre above for the key if you would like to explore further.
Kourion beach has three tavernas of varying quality - just remember that in Cyprus, appearances don't always count for much.......
