Escape from the Sanitarium! Traditional Cache

My Path to Freedom!

This area was once the home of a well-known sanitarium. As a youth, I was framed, and soon became a "guest" of this honored institution. I give a little of the history in my first cache, Peaceful Days at the Sanitarium.

Anyway, after a few years in captivity, I began to plan my escape. I noticed that a laundry van was often on the grounds. That gave me an idea: I volunteered to work in the asylum laundry, where I gained the guards' trust. When they weren't looking, I jumped in the laundry bag, and covered myself with dirty towels. Later, someone threw the bag in the van, and I was free! (Well, for a little while, anyway.)

The road you are on is the same road the van took, on my quest for freedom! Halfway down the road, I peeked out, and flung an old pill bottle out the window, to commemorate this new chapter in my life. I think the bottle landed on a tree. Is it still there?
