Once upon a time there was a big kingdom. It had many lakes and forests that spread all the way up to the north. The king was an old man, who had three daughters and four sons. He married his wife when she was very, very young. She was only fourteen at the time. The king didn't like their old traditions and he told all of his children that they can choose whomever they want to marry.
When he got old and sick, at the age of eighty-four, he decided to bestow a quest upon his sons. "Sons," he said. "There is zero time left for me, but you are all young and strong. Go all the way to the west with our large army and try to make our kingdom the biggest that ever was."
Sadly, the old king didn't know that the army had become so small, it only had one hundred and eighteen soldiers. For the last twenty years, all of his children were travelling and drinking, spending all of his money. The king didn't know that there was zero money in their treasury.
The sons agreed to his last wish and promised him that they will do as he says. However, five days later the king died. None of his children were any good at ruling, so it didn't take long for the surrounding kingdoms to try and take over. The battles lasted a long five months and everything was lost.
About this series:
This series of mystery caches is made up of 10 little puzzles you can solve from your computer. All of the caches in this series are on one trail that is about a 2.5 mile hike (one way), depending on from where you start. All of the caches are placed in the same type of container and are not further than a few steps from the main trail.
This whole series is meant to be fun - first solving the puzzles and then hiking on a nice trail. So if you really can't solve some of the caches, you can send me a message and I will try to push you in the right direction. Anyway, there will probably be no need for that.
All of the caches are pretty close to each other, so if the you final coordinates show it is a couple of miles away, it's wrong. You can also use the solution checker, which is in every cache.
Make sure to take enough water with you, hiking clothes and shoes. Watch out for snakes, ticks, and thorns.
