I read San Jose (Chepe as it is called) is one of the ugliest cities in Latin America, I can't argue with that, it has some ugly parts. So I decided to hide some geocaches in the city.
This one is in Barrio Escalante, a neighborhood that was built in the 1940's, fomerly it was a cafetal. Nowadays it is known for its nightlife and pricey restaurants. Parque Francia is in the middle of everything and on weekends is full of activities, for example, Couchsurfing community organizes a monthly picnic, or at least is every two months.
Now, go there, find the bench infront of the fountain, you are going to see la Antigua Aduana behind a big tree. Sit on the right side of the bench, reach under your thigh and you are going to fill the micro, there are a lot of muggles, but I don't think they are going to notice. BYOP.
