This is a series of caches set along the quiet lanes & footpaths around the village of Lyng, which nestles in the Wensum valley. The village has a pub, that serves food, a shop that has a small cafe & of course Cadders Hill motocross circuit (which means race days can make the roads around here much busier, so caching is best avoided then. But these only happen on a few weekends in summer). Obviously school run times can also add to the amount of traffic & muggles. Although some of the caches on the lanes may be suitable for buggys, bikes & wheelchairs those on the footpaths are less so as they can be narrow, overgrown or very muddy. Good footwear recommended.
We have tried to include a variety of caches, a few have swaps & some are custom made. We hope to add to this series when time allows, hence we have not numbered them. As usual you will need a pen & tweezers & tree cover could lead your GPS astray. There is parking available at the village hall & at a few places along the roadside.
After crossing the road-with great care as it can be busy with fast cars-you will reach another footpath. We love the shape of the big host here which hides a camoflaged micro.
