Geocache Description:

From Wikipedia:

Electronic mail (email or e-mail) is a method of exchanging messages ("mail") between people using electronic devices. Invented by Ray Tomlinson, email first entered limited use in the 1960s and by the mid-1970s had taken the form now recognized as email. Email operates across computer networks, which today is primarily the Internet. Some early email systems required the author and the recipient to both be online at the same time, in common with instant messaging. Today's email systems are based on a store-and-forward model. Email servers accept, forward, deliver, and store messages. Neither the users nor their computers are required to be online simultaneously; they need to connect only briefly, typically to a mail server or a webmail interface for as long as it takes to send or receive messages.

Google's gmail product is one of a multitude of integrated products. Gmail started as a limited beta release on April 1, 2004 and ended its testing phase on July 7, 2009. Since then, it has undergone many revisions and improvements. The Gmail Labs feature, introduced on June 5, 2008, allows users to test new or experimental features of Gmail. Users can enable or disable Labs features selectively and provide feedback about each of them.

One of the Labs features is Canned Responses, recently renamed Templates. This allows automatic replies based on keywords in the originating message.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to send an email with the word coordinates in either the subject or the message portion to the correct gmail account. Having done so, you will receive the coordinates of the geocache container. Then, using your smart phone or GPSr unit, as you normally would for a traditional cache, locate the cache and sign the log.

The final is located in the desert. Remember that everything in the desert wants to sting, stick, stab, bite, poison, or otherwise wreck your beautiful geocaching experience.

This cache is on Arizona State Trust Land. Geocachers must purchase an annual recreation permit available on the Arizona State Land Department website. Please carry this permit with you whenever caching on the ASTL.

Yes, you must sign the log; none of these, "I forgot my pen!" excuses. Good luck and happy caching!
