The Lizhiwan Canal restoration was mainly implemented in 2009, opening in 2010 shortly before the Asian Games in Guangzhou. This part was implemented a few years later. Many areas have already been upgraded in line with the canal restoration, but others retain the older, somewhat decaying housing stock.
This cache is located in one such pocket along the canal. The area features no shops or services, but several landscaping improvements and a small area with seating overlooking the canal as a precursor to future development. Use the seats nearby to fill in the log.
