One of the most beautiful spots along Scenic Highway 7, this stop offers incredible views of the Harrison River, to the east, and Harrison Bay to the west. It's turquoise waters are the confluence of the Chehalis River which enters slightly to the north, and exits into the Fraser River to the south. This area is known as a Salmon Stronghold, the only area in BC to host all five species of salmon. Bald eagles are a common sight, especially after the salmon spawn in November, as well as several species of waterfowl, shore birds, river otters and seals, and black bear. This is also known to be Sasquatch country....
Park on School Rd and find a trail that heads toward the river. Pass through an old gate, and as you get closer to water's edge, step off trail a few feet to the right. No camo-spoiler pics please. Photos of the view encouraged!
