Geocache Description:

Slate rock was known to me and many others as a kid, we used to travel up and down Stony Brook fishing, catching crayfish, playing in the rocks and little caves below. Back in the day just mention slate rock and they would know where you were talking about. Unfortunately over the years it has become a dumping spot for many. It's been cleaned up time and time again, and isn't bad at this point. But there is a nice little place to park and walk along the creek headed down stream, the banks get pretty steep, but the walk along the creek is nice. A nice back country road with not much traffic. Just a nice place to wet your feet on a hot summer day or take a little stroll in the fall or even in the winter for that matter. You'll be looking for a bison tube, not out in the open by any means.
