Brad rides his bike past here regularly at this time of day. There are always lots of kangaroos in the early morning.
Brilliant views. Guaranteed wildlife. And the rising sun.
While the official sunrise is at 0702, it gets starts to get light earlier.
You just need to walk To GZ. Or you could ride a bike. But you must follow a marked track in either case.
NOTE: The Cleland Car Park gate is locked until sunrise or later. Do not expect to use the Cleland Park carpark.
You can park on Waterfall Gully road and either walk up Chambers Gully Track or the Winter Track. Riders can also come up the Winter Track or ride in from a number of other directions. You could also park at Mt Lofty car park and walk from there but while this may be the flattest route it is more than 5km walking each way.
Whichever route you chose ensure you allow enough time to arrive for sunrise. If you wish to ride a MTB feel free to contact Brad to join him as he will be riding up.
