For over 20 years, the radio waves of Chat 94.5 and My 96.1 were kept on the air through the tireless efforts of an “Ugly Bald Guy”, Fred McFall. He wasn’t really ugly in any way, but he jokingly referred to himself that way to all those that worked there and no one ever forgot... so if something ever went wrong... Who ya gonna call? It was easy.
Fred was an avid outdoorsman and a regular geocacher. He could be rough and gruff... some swore he was part Klingon, which yes, he could speak, but to those who knew him well, he had the biggest heart in the world and is the reason that the 2 of us got into Geocaching in the first place.
Fred said goodbye to the Earth this year... way way too early. We miss him a lot. But we thought what better way to remember Fred than a memorial cache (something he would have looked for himself). We believe he would approve.
