Note: This is not meant to be a tricky cache to find but due to the ledges and trees, coordinates can be off. So, look for downed tree with green on it and located on the other side of the wall.
After I placed a cache today, I continued on the trail and followed the white blazes. It had been a long time since I was out here and as I walked, there were so many places to place a cache, but I kept telling myself to just be patient and wait to find the perfect spot. Well, I am sure you have heard the saying, "If a trees falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?" Did you ever really stop and think about that saying...I mean really stop and think? I discovered that philosophers have debated long and hard about that quote when I did a quick Google search. Personally, I always just thought well of course it does! Just because a human may not be present, there has to be some other creature there to hear it...a bird, squirrel, chipmunk, deer...you get the idea. As you walk along the trail, you will notice many trees have fallen and that was a result of a very devastating storm a few years ago. However, when I came to this fallen tree, it appears as though it was rather recent and all I could think of was that I was glad that I wasn't here when it happened! When you arrive at GZ, I just request that you take a moment and think of the quote before looking for the cache, which really should not take too long. And, as a hint, it is not right near the fallen tree in the description; it's closer to another one nearby that fell a long time ago and has turned to this beautiful color that I absolutely love.
