Event Description:

When: Saturday, August 1st, 2020 - 11:30 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. at the Mount Burke Summit.

1. We suggest leaving the trail head to reach the Mount Burke Summit between 8:00 and 9:30 a.m. to be on time for the event and to find the caches along the trail on the way up. Please pace yourself for this unique Event by leaving early and taking as many rest breaks as you require. Be sure to review the hiker's checklist of supplies below to bring along on the trip.

2. The Nine Years Later @ the Mount Burke Summit will begin at 11:30 a.m. and last for two hours until 1:30 p.m. All cachers logging the event can sign the Event Logbook at the Mount Burke Summit and then receive a Special Event Attendance Card.

3. Between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. a Treasure Hunt will take place to find the GSC Survey Markers located hear the summit - the exact coordinates and description of the marker can be found at the bottom of this cache page. A First Edition Brass Cap Convention Geocoin from the August 2011 Event will be given to the FTF of the Survey Marker in the Treasure Hunt Activity - so be sure to bring a metal detector, gloves, and a tape measure.

4. A group photo will be taken at 1:15 p.m. at the Mount Burke Summit.

5. At 1:30 p.m. we will clean up the site and head back down to the trail head. Be sure to stay with the group on the way down to enjoy the photo opportunities and caching stories from the trail!
