WELCOME TO MANITOBA WOODHENGE!

This Community Celebration Event (CCE) takes place at one of the most amazing and best kept secrets in the province of Manitoba, our very own Woodhenge. Our intention was to celebrate this event on the Summer Solstice, however to provide more cachers with the opportunity to attend we have scheduled it three days earlier and on a weekend. (In 2022, the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere takes place on Tuesday, June 21st at 5:14 am.)
The Details:
When: Saturday June 18th, 2022
Where: Manitoba Woodhenge (posted coords)
Time: 9:00 am - 11:00 am
A special thank you to Awol for all of his work and effort that has gone into making this happen. Below is a picture of him standing within the inner circle of Woodhenge.

Bring a lawn chair or just hang out, this is a come and go event so stay as long or short as you like. We are looking forward to catching up with everyone and talking about past and future caching adventures!
The current land owners have given their permission for this event to be held at this location and to share the wonderment of Woodhenge with us. We ask that you please be respectful of the site by leaving no trace and taking only memories. We will be staying within the circle of Woodhenge and not wandering or exploring other areas to respect the land owners wishes and to ensure their privacy.
Woodhenge was created by the late Marcel Debreuil (1943- 2011), on what was his land at the time. Marcel gathered the stones (erratics) and purposefully placed them in circles divisible by seven. As described by the creator's son-in-law Matt, "The Stones as they were always referred to as, was always intended as a place of inspiration and wonder, and a welcome place for fairy’s spirits and angels."
