We have the park reserved for next year: The 2023 Nightmare event will be Friday September 29th though Sunday October 1st. All is set with the park for event, so you can register now for campsite for 2023 http://nightmareincarnation.weebly.com/ The theme will be Haunted mining Camp / Hellmouth AKA entrance to hell / mythical creatures, as always there will be a prize for best decorated site and best use of theme.

Nightmare in Carnation It's a Creepy Cacher Campout III
 
Join us for a special fall Campout to remember, at Tolt - MacDonald park in Carnation!  The last weekend in September 23rd - 25th.
Events:
Check in time 3PM Friday September 23rd
S'mores Friday September 23rd 6:30pm (at event hosts site)
Dinner 3PM Saturday September 24th
Sunday good bye campers Breakfast 9AM (at event hosts site)
Check out time 12:00 noon
There will be a prize awarded for the best decorated campsite, the theme is swamp / bog.
Activities: Include geocaching (8 of them in the park), hiking, camping, dinner, socializing, Remlinger Farms, the SVT for biking, hiking and caching. And a short drive to Snoqualmie there is a train to ride and the Falls.
 
Attendance: is open to all geocachers, paid activities such as camping and dinner are the same price for all cachers.  We'd love to have you come out and spend the weekend with us in the campground or just come out for the day.
 
Camping: We have RV & tent sites reserved especially for us for Friday and Saturday - nights only.  If you are camping with us you will need to choose one of the camping options as well as the per-person registration fee for all folks in your party over the age of 10.  Check-in starts at 3PM Friday, and Check out is at noon on Sunday.  RV sites have power and water only, there is a dump station nearby.  Additional camping information here http://nightmareincarnation.weebly.com/camper-info.html
 
We'll be holding a contest for the BEST decorated camp site. Think swamp / bog and deck out your site. Judges will vote for the best all round decorated site and best use of theme. So get you creepy juices flowing. Winners will receive their award during the Sunday morning camper only breakfast, and their names will also be announced on the cache page.

Friday night activities (for overnight campers only):  We will have S'mores at the event hosts campsite from 6:30pm - 8:30pm, and afternoon / evening walking game.
 
Saturday dinner (is the official event open to anyone to attend):  Saturday dinner at the barn shelter starts at 3pm on September 24th. Feel free to show up earlier, sit by the fire, visit and brag. Your hosts will be providing hot dogs, polish sausages, pork & beans, chips, water,  kool aide, mulled cider among other things. Everything else is potluck, so bring your favorite side dish or dessert to help balance out the meal. The barn shelter has power and water, so if you need to use an outlet that should be no problem.  The barn shelter has dedicated parking, and is handicap accessible.
 
Day visitors: If you are planning to join us for Saturday activities including dinner you need to register and pay for each person attending. This will ensure we both have enough food AND cover the costs of holding this event.  Please be aware that the park closes to day visotors at dusk.

In order to reserve a campsite or a spot for dinner please register and pay the appropriate fees using the link above.

If you are going to attend this event you must click on the link above and register.  This is the only way to reserve one of the RV sites being held for our group.  If you only plan to attend the dinner you still need to register so your hosts can plan.
Sunday Morning goodbye breakfast (for overnight campers only):  Pancake breakfast will be at the event hosts campsite starting at 9AM, and ending no later than 11am because we'll need to be ready to check out by noon.  Winners of the best decorated campsite will receive their prize during the breakfast.  Additional information about the breakfast http://nightmareincarnation.weebly.com/camper-info.html
 
Fees and deadlines:  Camping fee covers your RV site, S'mores and Sunday breakfast $70 for both nights.  Per-person registration fee covers Saturday dinner $5.00.  The deadline to register for camping is 9-11-2022, or when the last site is taken which ever comes first.  Your registration fee go to offset event expenses, such as, food, shelter rental ect.  Additional information regarding what your fees goes to is here http://nightmareincarnation.weebly.com/about-your-fees.html
 
Other Accommodations:  If you will be tent camping, you are welcome to register for one of the RV sites, if you want to be close to the main group.  But both tent sites and RV site are available though us this year.  If you'd prefer a yurt you will have to make your own arrangements with king county by calling their reservation line at 206-477-6149, and then messaging me so we can make the rest of the arrangements.
 
Merchandise:  We will have an all new VERY awesome trackable item available for purchase at the event. for $8.00 each.  Picture of the trackable will be coming soon.
 
 
We still have a few things left from previous years Nightmare events that we will bring along as well. 
 
Volunteers:  All great events require help.  We'll need someone who wants to arrive early to check people into their campsites.  On Saturday we will need volunteers to help cook (I'll bring a gas grill), and to help get equipment to the shelter and back after dinner.  Please message me, SirKarp if you would be able to help!
 
Note about Coronavirus:  Rest assured that we will be following guidelines for everyones health and safety, depending on what the situation is as the event approaches.  Also we will update the event page as needed regarding this if needed
