Welcome to First (Fourth) Thursdays in Columbia (FTIC).
This is a monthly event on the first Thursday of every month in Columbia, Maryland, but this month it has been moved to the fourth Thursday due to tornado warnings and watches in the area. This month will also be a Community Celebration Event.
We will be meeting in the Symphony Woods parking lot just south of the Columbia Mall Thursday September 24th from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.
Large trees on the hill leading from the parking lot to the Symphony Woods stage should provide shade if the evening is hot and sunny. There is also one rickety picnic table at the edge of the parking lot. If you would like to sit during the event, consider bringing a folding chair or seat.
Although we’ve normally met at the food court in the Columbia Mall, because of our social distancing concerns during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve moved the location to the parking lot in the northwest corner of the Symphony Woods venue. Bring your mask/face covering to wear and protect others.
This is a simple meet and greet for geocachers in and around Columbia, Maryland.
Anyone and everyone is welcome.
There are a good variety of fast food restaurants in the food court in the mall and around the mall for all tastes and desires.
We use this event for meeting fellow cachers, planning trips, recommending caches and giving tips, to name a few...
This month we will be discussing our current geocaching goals for the year.
