Our family is very cognisant of public safety with a front line health service worker working throughout the pandemic.
Whether one agrees with a geocaching review policy or not is immaterial. A personal view on the matter is exactly that. We understand that this event would be retracted on July 15th and accept the authority of the reviewers.
Unfortunately our personal family situation will not allow us to reschedule this event as it stands in the near future, so we will archive it and encourage attendance at other CCE occasions when this is possible.
We ourselves will still visit Kilkenny on August 15th and having invested a lot of personal time and funds in planning the trip, hope that some geocachers might also enjoy a trip on International Geocaching Day despite the impossibility of an event gathering in Ireland at this difficult time.
This invite to visit Kilkenny is extended to all Irish-based geocachers, and we only encourage all to travel as directed by the authorities at this time and in the future.
It is great to hear of other geocachers who have been travelling distances again to enjoy the game around Ireland since June 29th after being respectful of the need to stay local in recent months.
