Come on out to the Dogwood Shelter at Lake Crabtree County Park to wave goodbye to Nittany Dave. He's retiring from the corporate world and moving to the mountains where he plans to raise exotic goats and sit in his rocking chair on the porch playing his banjo.
We'll be out there from 1-4 PM, beverages and snacks will be available but feel free to bring something to add to the table.
If you're fairly new to the community or have never stalked Dave's profile page here's a bit about him in his own words:
...Co-Founder of the North Carolina Geocachers Organization
...Former (1st) President of the North Carolina Geocachers Organization 2005-2008
...Current Board of Directors of the North Carolina Geocachers Organization
...Charter member of the late, great Team CHB
...Co-Chair GeoWoodstock 15 in Waynesville, May 27, 2017
...Co-Chair GeoWoodstock 5 held in Raleigh, May 2007
At least he's not moving too far away, so we'll still get to see him once in a while and now we have a place to crash when we visit the mountains.
