Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates.

Last week, I learned that a local cacher brute forced an unpublished puzzle hide of mine on Mount Tamalpais in an attempt to find my recently published puzzle, Non Compos Mentis. I was pretty impressed – finding a well-hidden cache in a large search area with nothing to go on other than intuition. In my opinion, this cacher (you know who you are!) is now an honorary graduate from the J5 Institute of Higher Geosensing, a School of Intuitive Caching™.

“Et tu, Brute?” is used to express surprise and dismay at the treachery of a supposed friend, but I am not using it in that context. I am using it only in jest, a play on words. In fact, I believe finding caches through instinct and intuition alone is an impressive and fun challenge in itself. That said, I decided to move this discovered cache to a new location and publish a slightly easier puzzle to give everyone a chance. Thus, in order to find this cache, you need to solve the puzzle below, which is based on Geocoin Icons. And, if solving this puzzle still remains a mystery to you, you can always go out and find the cache by brute force and impress your geocaching friends!

This puzzle is the fourth in a series of puzzle hides that I have placed on Mount Tamalpais. The puzzles will range in difficulty but maintain higher terrain ratings. All of the hides are ammo cans. If you like puzzles, ammo cans, and adventurous hiking, this series should be right up your alley! All caches are hidden off the beaten path, and I would suggest taking a friend along.

Good luck, have fun, stay safe, and please return the cache as found or better!

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
