Geocache Description:

30.10.2020 update: Please do not follow the public footpath. You need to park in lay-by and go straight through the fields. If you encounter high brambles then you might need to come back and cross the field from lay-by. It is planned as a non-footpath geocache adventure for those who likes muddy challenges. So wellies is a must.

This is my…our (with my geo-son).. the first cache. We tried to make it nice, it is massive in size, camouflaged in something that birds like, and the plastic tall container is hidden in it. There is some space for swappables. It is placed at the sight level or lower, but no terrain-making. We tried to make it natural hidden with lots of efforts and tried to find a nice hideout from city life laugh

Today we found a nice space to hide… in the jungle of unknown (for us) small and playful small stream, which takes place in Sywell Reservoir and flows to the River Nene. Interesting fact that on the google map you can see this stream cut off just a bit further than the cache GZ spot. However, when you open OS maps then you can see it is not, and going well to the Nene. In both maps I couldn’t find any name for this nice, but unknown stream. So… please free to NAME IT! yes

When you log your find, you can name the stream.

Please be aware of water. It is not deep, however it is water still! cool You will need to go through the wooden natural “BRIDGE” to the other side of the river, which makes it a bit difficult, but it is not really. GPS will make you going rounds. But we hope that the hint will narrow your search straight after you pass the “bridge”, which could be slippery too!

Do not cross the barbed wire to the field with horses. The cache just on the edge. So please be safe.

Do not afraid any wild animals you will might find on your way through the fields. We found white owl in old building, rabbits, birds – all just running from behind!

You can park your car on A4500 lay-by, just down the brown fields showed on satellite map.

Please try not to damage when extracting the cache from camo. And of course please leave as it was.

Happy caching! wink
