The plans for the Chapel of the Resurrection were made by Laszlo Rostas. The chapel was designed by the designer to symbolize a cave, while also creating a patio with a viewing function on the top. The construction of the chapel began in the weeks following Easter 2008. The statue of the Blessed Christ on the top of the dome was made by Polish sculptor Maciej Syrek. The chapel was consecrated on August 13, 2010 under the leadership of Dr. István Seregély, retired archbishop of Eger.
