t.a.folk: Thanks to all who have found this cache.
Alas now, re coronavirus, any found logs recieved after this date would of course not be well recieved .

Of the caches we own we could walk from home to less than a handful ,
so to comply with present restrictions we could not do maintainance for most of them .

We've not cached for eight days since hearing on the car radio, on the way back from our last cache find , about the over 70 years old staying at recommendations by the end of the week for at least 12 weeks .
We are in the age group so .........yikes!

But as expected the virus situation has sadly escalated for all since then.

About SideTracked Caches

This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. More Information can be found at the SideTracked Website

This is a Puzzle cache and is NOT located at the headline co-ords,which is the location of the old station.
This cache is located a little distance from the former station due to the proximity of another cache.

Hurn station was on the line constructed by the Ringwood Christchurch and Bournemouth Railway and passed through several of miles of land owned by Lord Malmesbury.
When this "station" opened it was an un-timetabled private Halt because one of the conditions for the sale of the land, for the line, was that the landowner was provided with two private halts.
This private halt served Heron Court, later called Hurn Court.
The trains could be halted on request by display of a red flag during the day or a red lamp at night.
The halt was opened to the public from January 1863 and the trains then stopped to a time-table .
After the line was closed the station building remained and has other usage.
We have not included the dates of the line opening and closing in this description because they feature in the questions for our sister cache REALLY sidetracked Avon Lodge Halt.

For this cache there is a jig-saw type puzzle (299 pieces) using one of our own photos of a feature beside the former station building .
The puzzle took one of us 91.5 minutes to complete.
The final co-ords, parking co-ords and hint will be displayed on the completion of the puzzle.
