Geocache Description:

Once upon a time, what we know of as New Jersey was two colonies -East Jersey and West Jersey.  West Jersey was sold by it's original English owner, Lord Berkeley, and came into the possession of a group of Quakers.  It was then split up into 10 pieces, or tenths.  The 3rd Tenth, found between Pennsauken Creek and Big Timber Creek (what is presently Camden County) was settled by a group of Quakers from Ireland starting in 1682, who settled along Newton Creek in what is now Collingswood and Oaklyn.  The area, called Newton Colony, eventually spread to what is now Haddon Township, Camden, Haddonfield, and Pennsauken.  It was eventually absorbed into Old Gloucester County and is now part of Camden County.

Cache is a quick park and grab!

Terrain updated March 2022, as hide was moved up a little to help keep this one in place! Congrats to Forbez on the FTF!
