The McConnell family is considered to be one of the pioneering families of the township of Hull. This area was part of the McConnell farm dating back into the early 1800s. The house at the corner of Chem d’Aylmer and Chem Allen was the house of William McConnell and was built around 1850. This area between Chem d’Aylmer to the south and Chem Stuart to the north, Chem Vanier to the west and Chem Morley-Walters to the east spent time as a community garden before it was developed in the early 2010s.
Some cachers have notified me that there is some wild parsnip around the GZ.
