Geocache Description:

29 February 2020, 13:00 - 15:00

This is an event that is participating in the worldwide multi event collaboration being held on Leap Day February 29th...

This is the official Georgia edition of this project...

You may ask why it's the "official" event? well... because this is also a multi trackable leap frog coin project, and we will have exclusive coins designs specifically for this event and it's the Georgia Peach-Tree Frogsmiley

Also available as an added bonus, you can get the Coinapaloosa Leap Frog version a full week before the event!

That's 2 special multi-event Leap Frogs available for sale to all participating in the CITO

As Many know, I work for the state parks and we love to host CITO's and get help from geocachers to help clean from time to time...

I've enlisted help from my wife (fatkidsOTWunite) to host this CITO in conjuction with Leap year and a multi event goicoin project! it's a win, win, win, win situation... you not only get the only day of the year that comes once every 4 years (Feb. 29th), but you'll recieve a Leap Day souvineer! The park wins through your efforts to help clean it up, and we'll all feel good about giving back to our favorite geocaching playgrounds, the beautiful Georgia State Parks! You'll be able to purchase and commemorate the special day with, not 1 but 2 special multi-event trackable Leap Frog geocoins!

Plans are to meet at the posted coordinates at the beach parking area, do some socializing, introductions, and the go over the plan to clean the area... lopping sheers, gloves, bags, and water will be provided... If you have grabbers, you are encouraged to bring them... the area is spread out and the perimeter is rather large, so plan on doing a 1/4-1/2 mile hike. If enough folks show up, we should be able to make a huge impact on the area...

Once we finish the work, we'll return to the posted coordinates for photo's, say thanks, and bid everyone a safe journey home!

Hope to see everyone there! Happy Leap Day!

A $5 daily park pass is required for each vehicle entering Hard Labor Creek State Park. Please visit friendsofgastateparks.org for information regarding annual passes to GA State Parks.
